How to make
Wash the bones and vegetables thoroughly.
Peel the onion and the carrot (but leave it whole).
Put all the products from the recipe together in a suitable cookware and boil at first on a moderate heat, then on a low heat. This way, all the beneficial substances are extracted from the rabbit and the vegetables.
If necessary, from time to time clear the foam that forms on top, using a slotted spoon.
After about two hours of boiling the bones, the meat just separates and you need turn off the heat.
Our homemade rabbit broth is ready. I don't add extra salt, I just rely on the vegetables to flavor it.
As soon as the broth cools, strain it. Freeze part of it in clean bags or suitable containers and store the rest in the refrigerator for no longer than 3 days.
If you wish, you can sterilize it in jars and or bottles by boiling them for 30 minutes.
