Ingredients

  • cauliflower - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • tomatoes - 1 - 2
  • eggs - 2
  • breadcrumbs - 1 tsp.
  • hard cheese - 1.1 oz (30 g) grated
  • milk - 2 tbsp.
  • butter - 1.2 oz (35 g)
  • salt - to taste
  • oregano - a pinch
  • basil - a pinch

How to make

Boil the cauliflower in salted water for 10 minutes, strain and wait for it to cool slightly.

Beat the eggs with the salt, roll each floret in the eggs, then in the breadcrumbs and arrange them in a buttered baking pan.

Peel the tomatoes, remove the seeds, cut them into cubes and add them to the cauliflower.

Add the milk and spices to the remaining eggs, mix and pour them into the baking pan.

Sprinkle the grated hard cheese (Parmesan, Grana Padano or Pecorino Romano) on top.

Spread the butter cut into pieces on top and bake the cauliflower in a preheated oven at 370°F (190°C) for 30 minutes.
