How to make
Pick young okra, wash it and cut off the stalks. Blanch them briefly in boiling water and rinse them under running water. Drizzle with lemon juice and set aside.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the chopped onion. During this time, peel the tomatoes, also blanching them for 30 seconds so that the skins fall off easily. Finely chop the peeled tomatoes.
Add paprika and okra to the fried onion. Stir briefly and pour the tomatoes. Let the dish simmer until the okra is cooked and a nice tomato sauce is produced.
Finally, you can optionally season with salt and black pepper. Thicken the sauce with flour dissolved in a little water. If desired, a little chopped parsley or dill is added to the okra with tomato sauce.
