Fry the chopped onion in the butter and add the bulgur. Allow to cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Mix in the diced tomatoes, top up with the broth and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cover the dish and cook it on low heat for about 30 minutes or until the bulgur absorbs the liquid.
Stir well and serve the bulgur with onions and tomatoes warm.
