How to make

Beat the egg whites on the lowest setting of the mixer and it is best to beat them in a wide bowl.

After they turn into a fluffy white mixture, add the sugar gradually and mix, mix at higher speeds with the mixer until a very thick mixture is obtained (if you turn the bowl over, the mixture should not fall out). If desired, you can add confectionery paint to make them colorful.

To form the meringues, use a piping bag with a star shaped tip, if you don't have one you can use a spoon.

Put them to bake in a preheated oven at 210°F (100°C) and bake between 1 hour and 1 hour and 30 minutes (personally for mine it took 1 hour and 30 minutes, since mine have a chewy filling), depending on how thick and big your meringues are (if they are thicker and bigger, they require more baking).

If you want them to have a slightly chewy filling, take them out 10 minutes earlier. Let them cool in the oven.

If desired, serve them with a cup of good coffee :)
