Ingredients

  • fine filo pastry sheets - 8 pcs.
  • sauerkraut - 9 oz (250 g)
  • parsley - 1 tbsp. chopped
  • salt
  • onion - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • oil - 5 tbsp. + for spreading
  • thyme - 2 pinches dried
  • savory herb - 2 pinches, chopped
  • rice - 1 cup

How to make

Chop the onion and fry it in the oil. Add the garlic cloves and the chopped sauerkraut. Add water that is two fingers above the products.

Season with salt and stew until the sauerkraut softens. You may need to add water. Add spices and paprika.

Let the water evaporate. Pour the rice, add water according to the type of rice. Once it has absorbed the liquid, remove it from the heat and let the Filo Pastry Pie with Sauerkraut filling to cool.

Prepare a large pan. Spread the sides and bottom with a little oil. Start assembling the rice filo pastry pie.
