Ingredients

  • cherries - 1 bowl (pitted)
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • butter - 4.4 oz (125 g)
  • flour - 5 oz (140 g)
  • sugar - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • yogurt - 3 tbsp.
  • brown sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • cinnamon - 1 pinch
  • vanilla powder - 1 sachet (0.2 g) or essence (1 tsp)

How to make

Beat the butter, which should be at room temperature, with the sugar until a smooth mixture is obtained.

Add the eggs one by one and beat again until a smooth foam is obtained.

Add the flour sifted with baking powder and mix again.

Finally, add the yogurt and vanilla.

The resulting homogeneous mixture is poured into a baking pan greased with oil or lined with baking paper.

Arrange the cherries on top and finally sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon.

Bake the aromatic cake with cherries for about 30-35 minutes at 340°F (170°C).

Serve the juicy butter cake with cherries after it cools down.
