Ingredients

  • cherries - 1 and 1/2 cups
  • eggs - 2 pcs.
  • sugar - 1 cup
  • butter - 2.2 oz (60 g)
  • yogurt - 1 cup
  • flour - 2 cups
  • rum essence - 1 capsule
  • baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • cocoa - 3 tbsp.
  • liquid chocolate - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • powdered sugar - for sprinkling

How to make

The cherries are washed and pitted.

In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, until a fluffy mixture is obtained. The softened butter is added to them and after stirring that, the yoghurt with the soda is added in it.

The mixture is flavored with rum essence. Add the sifted flour mixed with baking powder and cocoa in portions.

After stirring, add the liquid chocolate.

Stir the products again, until a smooth homogeneous mixture is obtained. Transfer the dough into a baking pan and place the cherries on top.

The chocolate cake is baked in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C). Its readiness is checked with a wooden skewer or toothpick.

Once removed from the oven, sprinkle it with powdered sugar.

The chocolate cake with cherries is ready.
