How to make
The dark chocolate is broken and melted in a water bath. The butter, which is cut into pieces, is added to it.
When melting, stir until a smooth cream is obtained and allow the mixture to cool.
Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl until a white mixture is obtained. Add the sifted flour along with the sugar, by stirring continuously.
As soon as all the products are combined, the mixture is transferred into a baking pan covered with baking paper.
The Morello cherries (washed, pitted and strained) are arranged evenly in the batter.
The cake is baked in an oven heated to 360°F (180°C) for about 30 minutes. The baked and cooled fruit cake is cut into squares and it is ready to be served.
