"They say that the hearts of lovers beat as one, but will they also share these delicious cookies"

Ingredients

  • flour - 8 oz (220 g) + for additional kneading
  • eggs - 1 pc. (L)
  • butter - 4.2 oz (120 g) soft
  • sugar - 3.5 oz (100 g) powdered or crystal
  • vanilla powder - 1 pc (0.2 g) or essence
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • white chocolate - 1.1 oz (30 g)
  • confectionery paint - a few drops of red
measures

How to make

Sift the flour and add to it the soft butter, lightly beaten eggs with a pinch of salt and the sugar with the vanilla.

Knead a smooth and soft buttery dough. Sprinkle in a little flour if it's too sticky.

Shape it into a ball, wrap it in cling film and refrigerate it for 1 hour. Roll out the hard dough onto a floured surface. The rolled out crust should be about 0.2″ (5 mm) thick.

Cut out hearts with molds and place them in a tray onto baking paper. Bake in an oven heated to 370°F (185°C) for 15-18 minutes or until lightly browned.

Allow the finished butter cookies to cool and in the meantime, melt the white chocolate in a water bath. Mix it with a few drops of red paint to achieve a rich color.

Use a toothpick to dip it in the melted chocolate and draw the hearts first around the edges, then make lines depicting a heart beat.

If the chocolate hardens, reheat it gently to melt it, you can add a few drops of confectionery cream to thin it out a bit.

Let the chocolate harden and surprise your loved one with the cookies!

Enjoy!
