"Love Heart Pretzels - and they are inseparable, just like you and your loved one"

Ingredients

  • flour - 10.5 oz (300 g)
  • milk - 1/2 cup (120 ml)
  • yeast - 0.35 oz (10 g) from a cube
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp.
  • salt - 1 level top tsp.
  • olive oil - 1 tbsp.

How to make

Sift the flour into a large bowl. Add the egg, olive oil and salt.

Warm up the milk, add the yeast and sugar and stir, until the yeast dissolves. Pour the liquid into the flour.

Knead a soft dough. Put it in a bowl, spread it with 1 tsp. of olive oil and cover the bowl with a piece of cling film and a towel.

Leave the dough in a warm place, until it doubles in size.

Roll out the risen dough onto a lightly floured surface into a thickness of 3-4 mm. Cut out hearts with different sized cutters.

Cut a few and tuck them into another uncut one, in order to make them into pairs.

Line a tray with baking paper. Arrange the prepared pretzels apart and spread them with olive oil.

Leave them for another 20 minutes to relax, then bake the love heart pretzels in a preheated oven, until they aquire a golden brown color.

Leave the pretzels to cool on a wire rack.
