"There is no right time to eat these delicious little buns - have them for breakfast, dinner and lunch"

Ingredients

  • flour - 10.5 oz (300 g) + for sprinkling on the counter and kneading
  • water - 6.1 fl oz (180 ml)
  • butter - 1.4 oz (40 g) melted
  • salt - 1 tsp.
  • fresh yeast - 0.5 oz (15 g)
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • baking soda - 2 tsp.
  • sesame seeds - for sprinkling
measures

How to make

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in the water slightly warmed to body temperature. Leave it to activate for 5 to 10 minutes.

Sift the flour into a bowl and mix with the salt.

Make a well in the middle, pour the liquid with the yeast that has already formed pores.

Start taking flour from the walls and pour the butter at the same time. Do that until everything is absorbed by the flour.

Transfer onto a lightly floured surface and knead a smooth dough. If necessary, sprinkle flour until it stops sticking. The dough should be neither hard nor too soft.

Form it into a ball and return it back into the bowl. Wrap it with a towel and leave it for 1 hour to rise and triple in volume.

Knead the risen dough briefly, divide into 6 equal parts and shape each into a round small bun like a burger bun. Let the buns rest for 15 minutes.

During this time, put about 1.2 liters of water on the stove to boil. Pour soda and a pinch of salt into it.

Drop each ball of dough for 30 seconds in this boiling water and place them into a tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Leave it like this for another 10-15 minutes and in the meantime heat the oven to 180°C.

Bake the pretzel buns for 30 minutes or until they acquire a golden color.

Use them to accompany any meal or to make burgers and sandwiches.

They are wonderful!
