How to make
Pour the milk and sugar into a bowl and mix. Add the crushed yeast, cover it and leave the yeast to activate.
Make a well in the flour and add the salt, egg, melted butter and milk with the activated yeast. Start kneading, by gradually adding the flour. Knead a non-sticky dough and if necessary, add a little more flour.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with cling film and leave it, until it has doubled in size.
In a bowl, combine the walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. Roll out the risen dough into a large rectangle. Spread it generously with the butter and sprinkle the filling. Roll into a tight roll.
Cut the roll into 20 equal pieces. Line a tray with baking paper and arrange the rolls spaced apart. Cover them and let them double in size.
Cover the risen rolls with foil and put them in a heated oven at 360°F (180°C). After 10 minutes, remove the foil and bake for another ten minutes.
In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar, water and mix. Add the Philadelphia and beat with a mixer until a smooth mixture is obtained.
Carefully pour this sauce over the baked and warm rolls.
The cinnamon rolls with walnuts and a wonderful topping are very tasty.
