How to make
Pour the wine into a suitable vessel and boil it.
Add the honey, sugar and grapefruit juice, 2-3 geranium leaves and the grated peel. After the liquid boils, reduce the heat.
Peel the pears and carefully scoop out the seed part. Put them in the liquid and boil on low heat for about 20-25 minutes, by turning them very carefully.
Remove the pan from the heat and leave the pears for 10 minutes in the sauce.
Remove the pears from the liquid.
Make a sauce by mixing the starch with a little wine and adding it to some of the liquid.
Serve the pears by placing them in a suitable dish, at the bottom of which there are 2-3 tbsp. sauce.
Before serving, glaze the poached pears with honey and sprinkle them with brown sugar.
You can also drizzle them with chocolate sauce.
The poached pears with white wine, geranium and grapefruit are ready.
