"Great marinated tomatoes that you can add in salads, appetizers or just be eaten with toast"

Ingredients

  • tomatoes - 2.2 lb (1 kg) of well - ripened Roma or cherry variety
  • garlic - 4 - 5 cloves
  • thyme - 1 tsp.
  • oregano - 1 tsp.
  • basil - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1 - 2 pinches
  • olive oil - 1 1/3 tbsp (20 ml)

How to make

Wash and dry the tomatoes. Cut them in half.

Place them on a tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle them with the spices, salt and olive oil.

Dry them in an oven heated to 210°F (100°C) for about 6-7 hours (maybe less, it depends on how much water the tomatoes contain and what size they are). Be careful not to dry them out.

Leave them cool and store the dried tomatoes in paper bags.

You can marinate them in olive oil with garlic and spices.

The dried tomatoes with spices are ready.
