  • beans - 1 kg
  • onion - 3 - 4 onions
  • oil - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • carrots - 1 pc.
  • rice - 1 cup
  • tomatoes - 1 - 2 pcs.
  • peppers - 2 pcs. red
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • savory herb - 1 tbsp.
  • spearmint - 1 tbsp.

How to make

Soak the beans from the night before. In the morning, discard the water, fill it with fresh water and boil it until done.

Heat the oil and stew the finely chopped onion until soft. When the onion softens, add the diced carrots and after 10 minutes, the rice. Season with paprika and fry briefly.

Add water from cooking the beans a little at a time until the rice is almost completely cooked.

Add the peeled and grated tomatoes and the finely chopped peppers and fry until the dish remains only in fat.

Transfer the rice with vegetables into a suitable baking pan, add the beans and season with savory herb, cumin and salt.

Pour 1-2 cup from the water and bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) until done.
