Ingredients

  • Dry mixture
  • oats - 1 cup (fine)
  • brown flour - 1/2 cup
  • corn flour - 1/2 cup
  • cocoa - 1 tbsp. optional
  • walnuts - 1/4 cup crushed
  • brown crystal sugar - 1/2 cup
  • soda - 1/2 tsp.
  • Liquid mixture
  • water - 1/3 cup (1 cup is 250 ml)
  • sunflower oil - 5 - 6 tbsp.
  • vanilla - 1 packet

How to make

Very tasty and quick to prepare healthy vegan cookies!

Measure the amount of products using a teacup with a capacity of 1 cup (250 ml) of water.

In a bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: fine oats, brown crystal sugar, plain flour, corn flour, baking soda, cocoa and finely chopped walnuts. Stir to mix well.

Pour the unrefined sunflower oil, water and vanilla powder into a separate pot on the stove. Stir often and as soon as it boils, remove it from the heat.

Pour the dry mixture with the hot liquid and stir with a wooden stirrer / large spoon. Knead the thick mixture, by hand, so that you get a soft dough.

With a rolling pin, greased with a little sunflower oil, roll out the dough into a layer, which is about 1 cm (8-10 mm) thick and cut out the biscuits with a round cutter. Arrange them at a distance in a tray lined with baking paper.

Bake at 360°F (180°C) for about 15 minutes, after about the 10th minute, if they are toasted on the bottom side, switch the oven to bake only on top.

The oat biscuits are ready when they are still soft on the inside and have a crispy crust on the outside. After we take them out of the oven, store them in a box, so that they don't harden too much. As they cool, they will become even more crunchy.
