  • turkey legs - 7 pcs.
  • rice - 4 cups
  • bay leaf - 3 pcs.
  • onion - 4 onions
  • salt - 1 tbsp.
  • pepper mix - 1/2 tsp.
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)

How to make

Wash the turkey legs very well.

The skins are removed and they are deboned, by very carefully removing the small bones.

The boneless meat is washed very well and cut into large pieces.

The onion is cleaned, washed and cut into small pieces.

Put the finely chopped meat, onion, bay leaf and oil in a tray. No water is added.

The bay leaf doesn't need to be crushed.

Stew for 1 hour at 430°F (220°C) with the lower resistor wire on, by stirring occasionally. Place the baking pan on the bottom of the oven without a rack.

Wash the rice with warm water, until the water is clear.

When the meat and onions are stewed, add the washed rice, pepper mix and salt into the baking pan.

Pour 8 cups (2 liters) of warm water.

Mix very well.

Bake the turkey with rice for 20 minutes at 430°F (220°C) with the lower resistor wire on at the bottom of the oven without a rack, then turn off the oven and leave the baking pan with the turkey leg with rice and bay leaf for another 30 minutes in the oven.
