Ingredients

  • lower turkey legs - 2
  • cabbage - 1 medium - sized fresh cabbage
  • tomatoes - 1
  • onions - 1
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp. grains
  • paprika - 1 tsp.
  • salt - to taste
  • bay leaf - 2 pcs.
  • oil - 3 tbsp.
  • parsley - 1 tbsp. chopped

How to make

Boil the turkey legs for about 30 minutes.

Meanwhile, cut the cabbage into thin strips and grate the tomato.

Heat the oil in a deep pot on the stove at a moderate temperature and lightly fry the onion until soft for about 5 minutes.

Add the cabbage, paprika and grated tomato. Mix well.

Pour the broth in which the legs were boiled and simmer for about 15 minutes. Season with salt, peppercorns and bay leaves.

Place the cabbage in the bottom of the baking dish. Place the drumsticks on top and cover with the remaining cabbage.

Bake in a non preheated oven for about 1 hour - 1 hour and 15 minutes at 390°F (200°C). When ready, sprinkle with chopped parsley and remove the bay leaves and peppercorns if desired.
