  • turkey leg - 4.4 lb (2 kg) boneless
  • sauerkraut - 2 large cabbages
  • bay leaf - 3 pcs.
  • paprika - 3 tbsp.
  • oil - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • cabbage juice - 4 cups (1 liter)

How to make

The turkey leg wash very well and cut into large pieces.

Place the meat in a baking pan. Add the bay leaf.

Add the oil and pour water - 2 cups (500 ml).

The baking pan is placed in the oven on the lowest level.

Bake under foil for 1 hour at 390°F (200°C).

The sauerkraut is cleaned from the cobs. Cut them into medium-sized pieces.

After the meat has stewed, the chopped sauerkraut is added into the baking pan.

Add the paprika and mix very well.

It is poured with the cabbage juice.

Bake initially with the lower resistor wire on for 1 hour at 430°F (220°C), then continue baking with the lower and upper resistor wire on for another 1 hour at 430°F (220°C).

The turkey leg with sauerkraut is ready.
