How to cook
Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, mix the sour cream, milk, eggs and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix, until they are mixed well. Do not mix them for too long or the American pancakes will become tough.
Grease a frying pan with butter.
Using a ladle, pour in the batter to form an American pancake.
The pancakes are baked until bubbles appear on top and the bottom is nicely browned.
Then the pancakes are flipped over and cooked for another minute or so, until they aquire a golden brown color.
The American Pancakes with Sour Cream are served warm and if possible with maple syrup on top.
