  • spelt flour - 2.8 oz (80 g)
  • buckwheat flour - 1.4 oz (40 g)
  • carob powder - 2 tbsp.
  • cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
  • ginger - 1/3 tsp.
  • nutmeg - 1/3 tsp.
  • baking powder - 1 tsp.
  • walnuts - 1.8 oz (50 g)
  • apples - 2 pcs. (medium - sized)
  • for spreading
  • peanut butter - 2 tbsp.

How to cook

For this delicious and healthy sponge cake, peel and dice the apples. Set aside 1/4 of the apple, which you need to cut into thin slices.

Beat the eggs with a pinch of salt. Add the honey and yogurt.

In another bowl, combine all of the dry ingredients and stir.

Add them in parts to the liquid ingredients and mix, until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.

Finally, add the diced apples and walnuts, which must also be chopped beforehand.

Grease a small baking pan with butter or oil and pour the cake mix in it. Flatten it and arrange the apple slices on top.

Put the apple sponge cake to bake in a preheated oven at 360°F (180°C) for about 30-35 minutes, until it is fully baked.

Once the healthy sponge cake with apples and spelt is ready, remove it from the baking pan and spread peanut butter on it.
