"Let the surprises begin in the morning with this wonderful savory heart cake"

Ingredients

  • puff pastry - 2 rectangular sheets
  • prosciutto crudo - 5.29 oz (150 g)
  • milk - 3 1/3 tbsp (50 ml)

How to make

On a large sheet of baking paper, spread one sheet of puff pastry. Add the prosciutto crudo on top.

Cover it with the other sheet of puff pastry. With a sharp knife, cut strips, which are 0.4″ (1 cm) wide.

Line a large tray with baking paper. Twist the strips into spirals and arrange them in the baking tray.

To make it easier, make one half of the heart first.

This will give you a better guide when arranging the other half.

Brush the already shaped prepared savory cake with milk.

Bake the puff pastry at 390°F (200°C) in a preheated oven with a fan for 5 minutes, then reduce the heat to 360°F (180°C) and finish off baking, until it is nicely browned.
