"Mini heart cakes - one for you and one for me"

Ingredients

  • For the cake layer
  • eggs - 4 pcs.
  • sugar - 4 tbsp.
  • flour - 3 tbsp.
  • cocoa - 1 tbsp.
  • oil - 1 tbsp.
  • orange essence - 1 ampoule
  • for the cream
  • mascarpone - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • cream - 2/5 cup (100 ml) for whipping
  • powdered sugar - 2 tbsp.
  • orange juice - 2 tbsp.

How to make

Crack the eggs into a bowl, add the sugar and beat into a fluffy cream. Sift the flour with a pinch of salt and the cocoa.

In portions, add it to the beaten eggs. Pour 1 tbsp. of oil and flavor with one ampoule of orange essence. Homogenize the mixture.

Line a large baking tray (I used the one from the stove) with baking paper. Pour the cake mix and level it out. Bake the cake layer at 390°F (200°C) in a preheated oven with a fan for 7-8 minutes.

Cool the baked sponge cake layer and cut it into hearts of different sizes. Beat the mascarpone with 2 tbsp. of powdered sugar. Whip the cream, until a thick cake cream is obtained.

Add it in portions to the mascarpone. Pour the orange juice and homogenize the cream. Attatch the baked mini cakes together, by starting with the largest heart cut out. Decorate with sugar hearts and sprinkle powdered sugar on this beautiful Valentine's Day dessert.
