How to make
The pumpkin is grated and stewed along with the sugar and 4/5 cup (200 ml) of oil. It is flavored with cinnamon.
The walnuts are coarsely crushed.
One filo pastry sheet is taken, it is greased and a second filo pastry sheet is placed on top of it. Sprinkle it with part of the pumpkin, raisins and 2 crushed biscuits.
On the short side, the filo pastry sheet is folded in half. The opposite end is also folded towards the middle. Roll it up, by starting from the side, which hasn't been folded.
Eight sweet rolls are obtained, which are arranged on a tray lined with baking paper. They are smeared with oil on top.
The pumpkin filo pastry rolls are baked in a preheated oven at 340°F (170°C), until they aquire a golden brown color.
Sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
