How to make
The pork belly, without cutting it, is sprinkled with salt.
In a wide plate, mix the paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper and ginger.
Roll the whole piece of meat in the dry spices and set them aside.
Mix the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, lemon juice and apple cider vinegar in a ceramic pot (in this case, a crock pot).
The piece of pork belly is placed in the crock pot, the appliance is covered and turned on to the second setting.
The pork belly is cooked for 6 hours without opening the lid.
The slow cooker can be replaced with another ceramic pot with a lid like a guvec and the pork can be cooked in the oven.
The cooked Chinese Pork Belly is served with boiled rice or another side dish of choice.
