Ingredients

  • chicken meat - 1.1 lb (500 g) leg
  • rice - 1 cup
  • noodles - 2 tbsp.
  • onion - 2 onions
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • butter - 2 tbsp.
  • chicken broth - 3 cups
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp.
  • turmeric - 1 tsp.
  • paprika - 1/2 tsp.
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • salt

How to make

Cut the onions into thin crescents, the garlic into small pieces and chicken into juliennes.

Heat the butter in a pot on the hob at a moderate temperature. Fry the noodles for about 5 minutes, until they aquire a golden color. Add the rice and fry, while stirring, until it becomes transparent. Add the broth and leave the rice to boil, until it absorbs the broth.

Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Fry the onion and garlic for about 2 minutes.

Add the chicken julienne. Fry for about 10 minutes and add turmeric, black pepper and salt. Stir and fry for another 15 minutes, by stirring occasionally.

When the rice is ready, remove it from the heat and cover it with a lid and leave it to stew for about 10 minutes.

Serve the pilaf by making a nest of rice and pouring chicken into it.
