"Walnut sauce for fish - an appetizing addition to the fish dish"

Ingredients

  • olive oil - 3 tbsp.
  • onion - 1/2 onion
  • ground walnuts - 1/2 cup
  • flour - 1 tbsp.
  • tomato puree - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • white wine - 2/5 cup (100 ml)
  • water - 1 1/5 cups (300 ml)
  • black pepper - 1/2 tsp.
  • oregano - 1/2 tsp.
  • garlic - 2 cloves
  • salt - by taste

How to make

Heat olive oil and add the finely chopped onion. Add the ground walnuts and fry for about 2-3 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix the flour and tomato puree with the white wine into a bowl.

Add the water, mix well and add the resulting mixture to the walnuts and onions.

Season with black pepper, oregano and as much salt as you like and cook to the desired thickness. Remove the prepared sauce from the heat and sprinkle it with finely chopped garlic.

You can serve this sauce with a roasted fish of your choice.
