How to make
Sift the flour into a bowl. Add the sugar, butter, vanilla sugar, a pinch of salt and milk. Beat well with a mixer with suitable attachments for dough.
Grate the lemon peel, but only the yellow part. Add the baking powder and coconut shavings and beat again briefly. A very soft dough should be obtained.
Preheat the oven to 360°F (180 degrees). Fill the dough into a piping bag with a jagged nozzle on one side.
Cover the bottom of the baking tray with parchment paper and pipe out the biscuits at a distance from each other, by making three connected strips, which are about 2.4″ (6 cm) long.
Bake them for 15 minutes or until they aquire a golden brown color, then leave the quick biscuits to cool.
Serve them with a cup of good coffee.
