  • spelt flour - 7.4 oz (210 g)
  • water - 5.4 fl oz (160 ml)
  • almond milk - 8.4 fl oz (250 ml)
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp.
  • salt - 2 pinches
  • sugar - 2 pinches
  • oil - 2 tbsp. + to grease the pan

How to make

Apart from being healthy and suitable for vegans, these spelt pancakes are also very economical and last but not least - delicious.

In a bowl, mix the almond milk with the water, oil, salt and sugar.

Pour the spelt flour with the baking powder and beat well with a wire whisk. Leave the mixture aside for 15 minutes.

After this time, the vegan pancake mixture is beaten again and if it has not thickened enough, sprinkle some more flour.

If it has become too thick, add a little almond milk or water.

In the process of baking the pancakes, you will be able to tell whether the consistency of the batter is good or needs to be adjusted.

Pour one ladle into an greased pan with a non-stick coating and heat it well over medium heat.

Tilt it to spread the batter well all over the surface.

The delicious pancakes are baked until they aquire a golden brown color on both sides and when taken out of the pan, it is best to spread them with margarine or other vegan butter (cashew for example).
