"Life is better when someone offers you a piece of tasty pie with fresh strawberries and an irresistible vanilla aroma"

Ingredients

  • strawberries - 1.1 lb (500 g)
  • sugar - 3 tbsp. with tip - white + for sprinkling
  • brown sugar - 3 tbsp. with tip + for sprinkling
  • liqueur - 1 tbsp. (optional)
  • vanilla sugar - 2 tsp (10 g)
  • lemon juice - 2 tbsp.
  • For the dough
  • flour - 12 oz (350 g)
  • butter - 5.6 oz (160 g) cold
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • powdered sugar - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • salt - 1 pinch
  • white wine - 2 tbsp. (cold)

How to make

To prepare the dough for our pie, sift the flour into a bowl and add the butter to it in cubes. Rub the mixture with your fingers, until crumbs similar to crushed biscuits start to form.

Beat the egg inside, by setting aside part of the yolk to spread. Pour the white wine and sugar and work with your fingers, by kneading everything well until you get a smooth ball of dough. If it is too soft, you can add a little flour, otherwise - another two spoons of wine.

Wrap it in cling film and refrigerate it for 1 hour.

During this time, clean and wash the strawberries. Set aside a few for decoration, and cut the rest into thin slices and mix them with the three types of sugar, liqueur and lemon juice.

Leave them like that, until the dough is ready for use.

Divide the hardened dough into two parts and roll each one into a thin crust. Place one as a base in a greased tray with a removable bottom.

Press it with your fingers and form a low boarder. With a fork we make holes without piercing through the dough.

Pour the strawberries on the prepared base, level them out and put the other crust on top, on which, according to your imagination, you can cut holes, shapes, strips. The ends are pinched.

Smear the pie with the beaten yolk with a little oil and a few drops of water and sprinkle it with sugar. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees, until it aquires a golden color.

Once the pie cools down, decorate it with fresh strawberries. Enjoy.

The pie with fresh strawberries and vanilla flavor is ready.

Note: The amount of sugar in the recipe may vary depending on the sweetness of the strawberries you use.
