Beat the eggs with the sugar and start stirring with a wooden spoon while adding the flour.
Next, pour in the milk, 1 tablespoon butter, baking soda and strawberry jam. Mix well, add a pinch of salt and the chopped strawberries. Put the mixture into a buttered and floured baking dish and put a few slices of strawberries on top to sink in slightly.
Put it to bake for about 1/2 hour in a pre-heated 390°F (200 °C) oven.
