How to make
Melt the butter and add the crushed garlic cloves. Crush the yeast and mix it with the milk warmed to 37 degrees. Add the sugar and stir.
Once the yeast is activated, add it to the flour. Add the egg white, half of the butter with the garlic and the salt.
Knead a smooth dough, which is not sticky. Leave it for 15 minutes and distribute it into balls. Spread the fluffy bread buns with the remaining butter and fill them with the grated gouda.
Seal and shape the garlic bread buns. Arrange them in a rectangular tray, covered with baking paper. Cover them with a towel and leave them to rise for an hour.
Smear them with the beaten egg yolk and water mixture, sprinkle them with gouda and bake them in a preheated oven at 340°F (170 degrees) for 20 minutes.
Serve the small gouda bread buns with a main course for lunch or dinner.
