"Believe it or not, these Buttery Oven Baked New Potatoes are perfect with a glass of chilled beer!"

Ingredients

  • new potatoes - 12 pcs medium, of similar size
  • butter - 30 g
  • olive oil - 2 tbsp (30 ml)
  • water - 1/2 cup (100 ml)
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • oregano
  • savory herb

How to make

Wash and rub the thin potato skin.

Place the potatoes into a baking tray making sure they fill it up. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, oregano and savory. Rub the herbs and spices onto the potatoes with your hands and arrange them next to each other, whole.

Pour in the oil, and water and make sure the bottom of the tray is covered by at least 0.4″ (1 cm) of liquid. Keep in mind the potatoes contain liquid themselves.

Arrange small pieces of butter on top and preheat the oven to 480°F (250 degrees). Bake for about 30 minutes, until they obtain a golden brown crust.

Remove the tray from the oven and flip the potatoes with a spoon carefuly. Bake for 30 more minutes, or until cooked.

If the water has evaporated add a little more.

Serve warm.
