Ingredients

  • puff pastry - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • feta cheese - 3.5 oz (100 g), or grated cheese
  • spinach - 3.5 oz (100 g)
  • eggs - 1
  • sausages - 7 oz (200 g), karnacheta
  • mustard - 1 tsp
  • paprika - 1 tsp
  • sunflower seeds - 2 tablespoons

How to make

The spinach leaves are parboiled for 10 seconds in boiling salted water. The puff pastry is thawed and cut into strips with a width of 4 3/4″ (12 cm) and the length of the pastry. Arrange a layer of feta cheese on top of the puff pastry or sprinkle on cheese.

Arrange spinach leaves on top. The sausages are smeared with mustard and arranged over the spinach in a row. Water is sprinkled over one edge of the puff pastry, it is wrapped into a roll and the edge is pressed to get it to stick.

Smear it with egg, sprinkle it with paprika and sunflower or pumpkin seeds. The roll is cut into pieces and baked for 20-25 minutes in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven.
