Ingredients

  • broccoli - 1 head (about 500 g)
  • cooking cream - 17 fl oz (500 ml)
  • yellow cheese - 7 oz (200 g)
  • processed cheese - 5.3 oz (150 g)
  • ground black pepper - 1 tsp. (or by taste)
  • lemon juice - 2 - 3 tbsp.
  • salt
  • dried parsley - 2 tbsp.
  • fresh parsley - to sprinkle on the finished dish

How to make

Wash the broccoli under running water. Cut the broccoli head into smaller pieces.

Place a large pot of water and a pinch of salt on the hob. Heat it over high heat and as soon as the liquid boils, put the broccoli inside. Boil them for 7 minutes and strain the water.

In a lightly greased baking pan, arrange the broccoli pieces and lightly salt them.

For the topping, mash the processed cheese well with the lemon juice. Add the cream, as much salt as you like, black pepper and dried parsley. Stir well until smooth mixture is obtained and pour it over the broccoli.

Grate the yellow cheese on top and bake the gratin until it aquires a golden color at 390°F (200 degrees) in a preheated oven.

The Broccoli and Cream Gratin is ready.
