How to make
Peel an apple, clean it and cut it into cubes. Sprinkle it with sugar and lemon peel and put it on medium heat for 30 minutes, while stirring often.
Optionally, you can add cinnamon or more sugar, because it depends on the sweetness of the apples you use.
Allow the softened and slightly caramelized apples to cool almost completely and then add the milk and quark cheese to them.
Blend until you have a perfectly smooth mixture and pour it into a container suitable for freezing or an ice cream machine.
Put it in the freezer until the apple ice cream sets - about 5-6 hours or preferably overnight.
In case you do not have an ice cream machine, stir it every half hour at the beginning so that large crystals do not form.
If you leave it overnight, the next day the ice cream will have frozen quite a bit and to make it creamy, leave it do defrost slightly for a while at room temperature or in the refrigerator and then crush it and grind it in a blender. The result will be fluffy, real apple ice cream!
Serve the delicious and fresh dessert with slices of fruit and crushed cookies.
