How to make
The kale leaves are washed, strained and dried. They are shredded into bulky pieces and the hard, thicker veins in the middle are removed.
Mix them with olive oil and a little salt (do not go crazy with the salt, because kale has its natural light salty taste).
The leaves are distributed, in a thin layer, in a wide tray covered with baking paper, with a distance between them. It is good to separate them in two trays, if necessary, but they should not be in a pile or on top of each other.
The oven can be heated up to 300°F (150 degrees) and the kale is placed inside it when the temperature reaches 100°F (40 degrees). Bake it until it darkens slightly and they aquire a dark green color - no more than 10-12 minutes with constant monitoring, after the oven reaches 300°F (150 degrees).
The leaves become thinner and dehydrated and thanks to the olive oil they turn out brittle and crunchy. Their taste is magical, and the health benefits of these chips are huge.
Kale is rich in iron, fiber and vitamins and is also very tasty combined with other products. Do not hesitate to include it in your menu.
