Wash and dry the rabbit, then portion it. Mix the oil with the salt, paprika and black pepper and smear each piece of meat nicely with this mixture.
Arrange the pieces in a greased pot. Sprinkle with savory and a little salt, drop in some unpeeled garlic cloves and coarsely chopped onions and carrots.
On the sides, carefully pour in wine and water. Cover the pot with a lid or tightly with foil and put it to bake for 2 hours at about 320°F (160 °C).
A younger bunny may become ready faster. Remove the lid, stir and bake it for another 10 minutes.
