How to make
Slice the onion and fry it over medium heat in oil until it aquires a dark brown color (for about 30 minutes).
Stir constantly, so that the onion doesn't burn. Add the wine, reduce to low heat and stew the onion under a lid for 30 minutes.
Add salt, black pepper, honey and vinegar. Stew for another 10 minutes. Serve it either hot or cold with sliced ham or blue cheese.
