"A tasty phyllo pastry from the Chiprovtsi region in Bulgaria!"

Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 pack, sheets
  • feta cheese - 10.5 oz (300 g) cow or sheep
  • eggs - 6
  • oil - 1 cup
  • carbonated water - 1 cup or lemonade
  • baking soda - 1 pinch
  • salt - 1 pinch

How to make

In a suitable container, mix the beaten eggs, crumbled feta cheese, oil and carbonated water.

In a deep tray with cold water, put 1 pinch of baking soda and salt, dip each phyllo pastry, drain and put it into a greased baking tray.

On each phyllo pastry, spread 3-4 tablespoons of the mixture and repeat until you run out of it. Bake in a preheated 390°F (200 °C) oven until browned.
