"And did you know that the best stories are told under the fig tree while you cook this jam from the whole fruits"

Ingredients

  • figs - 1.3 lb (600 g)
  • sugar - 1.3 lb (600 g)
  • water - 2/3 cup (150 ml)
  • citric acid - 1 tsp.
  • vanilla sugar - 1 packet (5 g)
measures

How to make

The first step for making jam from whole ripe figs is to wash and clean the figs.

Mix the water with the sugar and bring them to a boil.

Once the sugar syrup boils, add the citric acid, while stirring constantly. When bubbles appear, it's time to add the figs and vanilla sugar.

Bring to a boil again and cook over low heat, while constantly removing the foam that forms with a slotted spoon. Cook over low heat for about 20-30 minutes.

Remove the ready fig jam from the heat, leave it for 10 minutes to cool and pour it into dry heated jars.

If desired, you can sterilize them for a few minutes.

Uniquely tasty and fragrant jam.
