Ingredients

  • figs - 4.5 lb (2 kg) ripe
  • sugar - 4/5 cup (200 g)
  • citric acid - 1 tsp
  • water - 4 1/5 cups (1 liter)

How to make

Make a sugar syrup, boil it about 15 min.

Add the figs, whole, to it; if they're large you can cut them. Boil about 1 1/2 hours.

About 5 min. before the end of boiling, add the citric acid.

Distribute into jars, while still hot and close them.
