Ingredients

  • pears - 1.3 lb (600 g), well ripened (weight of peeled and without core)
  • apples - 1 big (200 g peeled)
  • sugar - 0.9 lb (400 g)
  • lemon juice - from 1 lemon (40 ml)
  • cinnamon - 1 pinch, powdered

How to make

Peel the fruits and remove their cores. The weight measurements given are for cleaned apples and pears.

Cut them into small pieces or grind them in a blender, but at medium speed, because you should not make a smooth mixture and small pieces should remain.

Squeeze 40 ml of lemon juice over them and sprinkle with sugar.

Finally, add the cinnamon, stir and pour in a saucepan, which is placed on the stove.

Cook the homemade pear jam for 25 minutes over medium heat from the moment it boils, then increase the heat and stir for 14-15 minutes or until the desired thickness is obtained.

Immediately distribute the jam into 3 small, clean and dry jars. Close tightly and turn the jars upside down.

Leave them like that until they cool, then store them in a dark and cool place.
