  • onion - 1.7 lb (800 g) of onions

  • devesil - 2 pinches
  • salt
  • black pepper
measures

How to make

The beans are washed and placed in a pressure cooker to cook for about 40 minutes.

The onions are cleaned and cut into crescents.

Put half of the oil in a pan, add the onions and fry them until they soften. Remove from the heat and season with paprika.

Strain the beans, put the remaining oil on the bottom of a clay pot with a lid, cover the bottom with beans, season with mint and devesil and cover with a layer of onions.

A new row of beans follows, once again add the spices and onions. The last row is the same - beans, spices, onions and ends with beans.

Pour 1 and 1/2 cups of water and the stew is placed in an oven at 360°F (180 degrees) for about 40 minutes.

Very tasty Byzantine-Style Beans.
