Ingredients

  • olive oil - 3 tbsp.
  • onion - 1 cup, chopped
  • garlic - 4 cloves, crushed
  • red wine - 1 cup
  • sugar - 1 tbsp.
  • basil - 1 tbsp.
  • chilli powder - 1 tsp.
  • tomato puree - 2 tbsp.
  • tomatoes - 1.7 lb (800 g), peeled and canned
  • parsley - 2 tbsp.
  • black pepper - to taste
  • salt - to taste

How to make

Saute the onion and garlic.

Pour the wine and wait for a minute for the alcohol to evporate. Then add the sugar, chilli powder, basil, tomato puree, diluted in a little water and canned tomatoes.

Season with salt and pepper. simmer for 20-25 minutes. Finallly add the basil. The perfect sauce for spaghetti!
