"Penne with spicy Arrabiata sauce - are you drooling yet?"

Ingredients

  • penne - 8.8 oz (250 g)
  • garlic - 3 cloves
  • hot paprika - 3 tsp. (coarsely ground)
  • olive oil - 1/5 cup (50 ml) for cooking
  • tomatoes - 1.1 lb (500 g) or canned
  • basil - 1 handful
  • red hot peppers - 4 pcs.
  • parmesan - for sprinkling
  • salt - by taste

How to make

The pasta is boiled in a deep pot with salted boiling water. Once it has boiled, strain it and pour it into a bowl.

Heat the olive oil and add the finely chopped garlic and hot peppers. Stew for a few minutes at a moderate temperature, while being careful not to burn the garlic.

Peel and grate the tomatoes, in order for them to turn into a puree, or blend them and add to the garlic and hot peppers and add finely chopped basil leaves for flavor.

Leave it to simmer on a medium heat for about 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Pour the prepared sauce over the penne, sprinkle each portion with finely grated Parmesan cheese and decorate them with basil leaves and hot pepper.
