"We love fruit cakes, not only because they are very tasty and juicy, but also because we usually serve them with a scoop of ice cream."

Ingredients

  • apples - 1 pc.
  • raisins - 1 cup
  • melon - 1 cup
  • baking soda - 1 tsp.
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp.
  • baking powder - 2 tsp.
  • self - rising flour - 2 tsp.
  • eggs - 3 pcs.
  • sugar - 1 ¾ cups
  • oil - ¾ cup

How to make

Preheat the oven to 370°F (190 degrees). Grease a cake pan. Mix the sugar with the eggs and oil and beat until you get a smooth mixture.

Sift the flour along with the cinnamon and baking soda. Add it to the egg mixture and stir again. Add the sliced apple, melon and raisins.

Pour the mixture into the greased cake pan and bake for 20 minutes.

Reduce the oven to 320°F (160 degrees) and bake for another 10 minutes or until cake is completely baked.
