Ingredients

  • spinach - 17.5 oz (500 g)
  • onions - 3 heads
  • rice - 1 cup
  • oil - 7 tbsp
  • black pepper
  • soya sauce - 1 tsp
  • salt

How to make

Soak the spinach for 1-2 hours in cold water. Rinse well. Finely chop the onions and fry for 2 minutes in a pot with hot oil. Add 2-3 tablespoons of water and stew with the lid on for 5 minutes.

Cut the spinach into thin strips and add it to the onions along with the cleaned and washed rice. Pour in 4 1/5 cups (1 liter) of warm water and soya sauce and let it boil for 10-15 minutes. Serve sprinkled with black pepper.
