Ingredients

  • phyllo pastry - 1 package ready - made
  • apples - 6 sweet
  • walnuts - 1 cup chopped
  • cinnamon - 1 tablespoon
  • cloves - 1 - 2 grains of crushed
  • oil - 1 cup, preferably melted butter
  • sugar - a little over 1 cup
  • lemon zest - 1 tablespoon

How to make

Thoroughly mix the grated apples, sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, cloves and lemon rind. Take 2 phyllo pastry sheets and brush them thoroughly with melted butter.

At one end of a sheet, smear the mixture evenly, roll it up, form the roll into a snail shell and place it in a greased tray. Wrap the second sheet around the first and so on until the tray is full.

Put it to bake and top with a few tablespoons of water. Let the finished strudel cool and sprinkle it with powdered sugar.
